SUMMARY AS PASSED:

Highway projects cancelled by counties. Requires counties that cancel secondary system highway construction or improvement projects included in their six-year plans to reimburse the Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) for funds expended for planning, engineering, right-of-way acquisition, demolition, relocation, and construction. The bill also allows the CTB to waive the reimbursement. This bill is the same as HB 2045 (Rollison).

Highway projects cancelled by counties. Requires counties that cancel secondary system highway construction or improvement projects included in their six-year plans to reimburse the Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) for funds expended for planning, engineering, right-of-way acquisition, demolition, relocation, and construction. The bill also allows the CTB to waive the reimbursement. The Senate Transportation Committee reported a substitute for HB 2045 (Robinson) that is identical to this bill.
