SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Safety lap belts and shoulder harnesses. Amends the law to allow a law-enforcement officer to stop a vehicle for failure of the driver or passengers to wear a seatbelt. However, the officer is not allowed to search or inspect a vehicle, its contents, the driver or a passenger because of a violation of this section alone.
