SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Study; small assisted living facilities. Directs the Joint Commission on Health Care to study the effect of recent changes in law and regulation on small assisted living facilities. The study shall include, but not be limited to, the impact of recent changes in law and regulation on small assisted living facilities, an analysis of the availability and affordability of liability insurance for assisted living facilities, an evaluation of whether smaller assisted living facilities should be regulated separately, and a recommendation on whether the Department of Social Services is the appropriate licensing authority for small assisted living facilities.
