SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Consumer credit reporting. Urges Congress to amend the Fair Credit Reporting Act to prohibit credit reporting agencies from giving a negative rating to an individual who has co-signed or otherwise guaranteed an extension of credit unless the co-signor himself has failed to pay the debt.
