SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Study; application of current and developing technologies to voting procedures. Establishes a joint subcommittee to evaluate the current voting systems and technologies being used in the Commonwealth and recommend how new and emerging technologies might be applied to improve the process. The joint subcommittee is specifically requested to include an examination of Internet voting and of identification and security measures such as biometrics and passcodes in its study.
