SUMMARY AS ENACTED WITH GOVERNOR'S RECOMMENDATION:

School board; definition. Adjusts the definition of "school board" to note that such body "governs" a school division and revises the definition of "governing body" or "local governing body" in the education title to be like the definition in the local government title, i.e., "the board of supervisors of a county, council of a city, or council of a town, as the context may require" and indicates that the governing body is responsible for appropriating funds.

Adjusts the definition of "school board" to note that such body "governs" a school division and revises the definition of "governing body" or "local governing body" in the education title to be like the definition in the local government title, i.e., "the board of supervisors of a county, council of a city, or council of a town, as the context may require."
