SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Virginia Public Procurement Act; competitive procurement for maintenance. Requires competitive sealed bidding for any contract entered into by any public body on or after July 1, 2001, for the maintenance of any highway, bridge, tunnel, or overpass that was not originally constructed under a comprehensive agreement entered into pursuant to the Public Private Transportation Act of 1995. Maintenance is defined as ordinary maintenance and maintenance replacement.
