SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Minors of school age and driver's licenses. Authorizes any school board supervising a school in which an unmarried or unemancipated minor is enrolled to file a written request with the Department of Motor Vehicles to cancel a learner's permit or license of the minor because of failure to comply with the Compulsory School Attendance Law or because the minor has received a long-term suspension or expulsion from regular school attendance. A minor enrolled in an alternative education program or having a job may file a written request to retain driving privileges for the purpose of transportation to and from the alternative education program or the job.
