SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Term limits for certain authorities in the City of Chesapeake. Provides for term limits of two consecutive terms for (i) directors of the Chesapeake Industrial Development Authority (amendments to § 15.2-4904), (ii) commissioners of the Chesapeake Redevelopment and Housing Authority (amendments to § 36-11), (iii) members of the Chesapeake Airport Authority (amendments in the second enactment clause); (iv) members of the Chesapeake Hospital Authority (amendments in the third enactment clause), and (v) members of the Board of Commissioners of the Chesapeake Port Authority (amendments in the fourth enactment clause). Currently, there are no term limits for the members and commissioners of these City of Chesapeake authorities.
