SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Submission of claims to the Department of Transportation and Commonwealth Transportation Board. Changes the claims procedure against the Department of Transportation and Commonwealth Transportation Board to provide that if the Department or Commissioner fails to render a decision within a certain time period, then the contractor can inform the Department or Commissioner that a decision is due. If a decision is not rendered within thirty days from the receipt of this notice, then the resolution of the claim is deemed to be in favor of the contractor. The bill also removes certain obsolete language.
