Center for Innovative Technology. Requires the president of the Center for Innovative Technology to report annually to the Joint Commission on Technology and Science regarding the Center's initiatives, projects and workplans.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Center for Innovative Technology. Provides that the Secretary of Technology is responsible for the Center for Innovative Technology (CIT) and designates the board of directors of the CIT to be an advisory board within the meaning of § 9-6.25. The bill provides for the appointment of a director who shall also serve as the president of the CIT. The director of the authority is appointed by the Governor, and not by the board of directors of the Authority, to direct the day-to-day operations and activities of the Authority and to carry out the powers and duties conferred upon him. The bill requires the director to report directly to the Secretary of Technology at such times as required by the Secretary.
