SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Claims for payment under the Line of Duty Act. Provides that the Superintendent of the Department of the State Police shall report the results of any investigation of claims for payment under the Line of Duty Act to the State Comptroller's office within 10 working days after the completion of the investigation. Under current law, the report is made within 45 days of the receipt of the claim. Additionally, there is a provision for the State Police to be reimbursed by the Comptroller for the cost of the investigations.
