SUMMARY AS PASSED:

Weapons on school property. Prohibits all knives on school property or at a school-sponsored event except for pocket knives having a folding metal blade less than three inches long. This provision applies to all persons, not just students. Current exemptions for food preparation, school programs, etc., are retained.

Disguised weapons. Provides that if any person carries about his person any knife, blade, dirk or dagger or any similar item useable as a weapon, which is disguised as another common object not having the appearance of a knife, blade, dirk or dagger or similar item, he shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor.
