SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Access to scientific data from state-funded studies. Amends the Freedom of Information Act to include a right of access to scientific data used as the basis of new laws. This section is modeled on the Verifiable Science Act as drafted by the American Legislative Exchange Council in June 2000. The model is based on the Shelby Amendment to the Federal Freedom of Information Act.
