Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 2 of Chapter 7 of Title 15.2 a section numbered 15.2-750 as follows:

§ 15.2-750. Health insurance benefits for dependents.

The county may by ordinance provide that under the county's self-funded health plan, coverage may be extended to one adult dependent, who may be an employee's spouse or other adult who meets criteria established by the county.
