Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 15.2-2157.1 as follows:

§ 15.2-2157.1. Regulation and inspection of septic tanks in counties.

Any county may regulate the installation of septic tanks on property located therein, and may require any person desiring to install a septic tank to secure a permit to do so. Counties may prescribe reasonable fees for the issuance of such permits.
