Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. That localities may, by ordinance, authorize an additional day of either-sex deer hunting within the general firearms deer season. Any locality that has adopted such an ordinance shall notify the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries of its action by registered mail no later than May 1 preceding the general firearms deer season and include in its submission to the Department a copy of the ordinance.
