Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 22.1-276 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 22.1-276. Liability of pupils for school property.

Each pupil shall be required to reimburse the school board for any actual breakage or destruction of or failure to return property owned by or under the control of the school board done caused or committed by such pupil in pursuit of his studies.
