CHAPTER 223 An Act to amend and reenact § 64.1-144 of the Code of Virginia, relating to suits upon judgment and contracts of decedent. [H 2200] Approved March 14, 2001

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 64.1-144 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 64.1-144. Suits upon judgment and contracts of decedent.

A personal representative may sue or be sued upon any judgment for or against or any contract of or with his decedent, including, but not limited to, suits for personal injury or wrongful death.
