CHAPTER 45 An Act to amend and reenact § 2.1-376.1 of the Code of Virginia, relating to the Fair Employment Contracting Act; discrimination. [H 1859] Approved March 2, 2001

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 2.1-376.1 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 2.1-376.1. Discrimination prohibited in awarding contracts.

In the awarding of contracts, no contracting agencies shall discriminate because of race, religion, color, sex, or national origin not engage in an unlawful discriminatory practice as defined in § 2.1-716.
