SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Incentives to promote employment opportunities for disabled workers. Directs the Disability Commission to study the feasibility of offering tax and other incentives to technology companies as a means to create employment opportunities for disabled persons (those persons under a disability as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. § 12101 et seq.) in positions that require an education or training in computer programming, engineering, electronics, or other technology fields. The findings and recommendations of the Disability Commission are to be submitted to the Governor and the 2001 Session of the General Assembly.
