SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Concealed weapons permit; purchase of handguns by certain officers. Allows a former Superintendent of the Department of State Police who leaves service after a minimum of five years to purchase his service weapon for one dollar.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Concealed weapons permit; purchase of handguns by certain officers. Allows a former Superintendent of the Department of State Police to purchase his service weapon for one dollar and grants him the ability to carry a concealed weapon without a court ordered concealed weapons permit. These provisions are currently available to officers who retire from the Department.
