SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Virginia Tobacco Settlement Foundation. Applies the standards of the State and Local Government Conflict of Interests Act to (i) members of the Board of Trustees and employees of the Virginia Tobacco Settlement Foundation and (ii) the members of the Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission. The bill also requires the director appointed by the Governor to be subject to confirmation by the General Assembly and provides for the Foundation to appoint a chairman and vice-chairman from its membership. Under current law, the Governor appoints the two officers.
