SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Who may be present for execution of search warrants. Provides that the following persons may be permitted to be present during or participate in the execution of a warrant to search a place if permitted by a law-enforcement officer conducting the search: (i) the owners and occupants of the place to be searched, and (ii) persons designated by the officer in charge of the search to provide assistance or expertise.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Who may be present for execution of search warrants. Provides that the following persons may be present during or participate in the execution of a warrant to search a place if permitted or requested by a law-enforcement officer conducting the search: (i) the owner or occupant of the place to be searched, and (ii) a person designated by the officer in charge of the conduct of the search to provide assistance or expertise.
