SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Health; Medicaid forecasting. Requires the Department of Planning and Budget, in cooperation with the Department of Medical Assistance Services, to prepare and submit an estimate of Medicaid expenditures for the current year and a forecast for the next two years. Currently, the Department of Planning and Budget assists in this forecast. The bill provides that the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission will receive such forecast. The bill also repeals the sunset clause of July 1, 2004 and is identical to HB 889.
