SB 464 Construction contracts.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Construction contracts. Provides that no provision in a construction contract entered into after July 1, 2000, that delays the timing of payment to a subcontractor pending receipt of payment by the general contractor from the owner shall exceed 180 days. The bill also provides that such provision may not waive the right of subcontractor to any defense or to an action to enforce a lien.
