SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Emergency services and disaster aid; towns. Allows towns with a population of up to 3,500 and over $15,000 in damages and towns with between 3,500 and 5,000 and over $20,000 in damages to be eligible for emergency disaster relief. Currently, only towns with a population of more than 5,000 and the Town of Chincoteague are eligible for such aid.

Emergency services and disaster aid; towns. Allows towns with a population of up to 3,500 and over $15,000 in damages and towns with between 3,500 and 5,000 and over $20,000 in damages to be eligible for emergency disaster relief. Currently, only towns with a population of more than 5,000 and the Town of Chincoteague are eligible for such aid.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Emergency services and disaster aid; towns. Allows any town with an emergency services program separate from that of the surrounding county to be eligible for disaster aid. Currently, only towns with a population of more than 5,000 and the Town of Chincoteague are eligible for such aid.
