SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Governor's Substance Abuse Prevention Program. Gives the Governor responsibility to administer the substance abuse prevention program within the Commonwealth and authority to authorize, direct and coordinate existing and future activities of state agencies and political subdivisions in such program. The bill also provides the Governor with authority to establish an office of substance abuse prevention and to review and determine the direction and appropriateness of substance abuse prevention program expenditures by state agencies.
SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE:
Governor's Drug Abuse Prevention Program. Gives the Governor responsibility to administer the substance abuse prevention program within the Commonwealth and authority to authorize, direct and coordinate existing and future activities of state agencies and political subdivisions in such program. The bill also provides the Governor with authority to establish an office of substnace abuse prevention and to review and determine the direction and appropriateness of substance abuse prevention program expenditures by state agencies.
