SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Sales and use tax exemption; Washington Regional Network For Livable Communities. Provides a sales and use tax exemption from July 1, 2000, through June 30, 2001, to a 501 (c) (3) corporation organized to (i) inform citizens about transportation, land use, and environmental issues that affect the National Capital Region; (ii) expand public participation in transportation planning and decision-making; (iii) ensure that federal air quality and transportation laws are implemented; (iv) advocate additional transit facilities, pedestrian access, and bicycle pathways; and (v) promote the coordination of transportation, environmental, and land use planning at the municipal, county, state, and regional levels.
