Charitable choice. Requests the Secretary of Health and Human Resources to designate an individual in that office to act as a liaison to provide information and other resource assistance in the implementation of the "charitable choice" provision of the 1996 Personal Responsibility and Work Reconciliation Act, which allows faith-based, private, and charitable groups to compete with other organizations and be considered for contracts with the state to provide social services.
