SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Board of Housing and Community Development. Requests the Virginia Board of Housing and Community Development to consider studying whether changes relating to chimney inspection standards designed to foster protection from carbon monoxide poisoning and address life safety matters relating to chimneys, fireplaces, vents, and solid fuel burning appliances should be made to the Uniform Statewide Building Code to reflect more closely current provisions of the National Fire Protection Association Code.
