SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Study; State Improvement Plan for Special Education. Requests the Department of Education to apprise the Joint Subcommittee Studying the Overrepresentation of African-American Students in Special Education Programs of the findings and conclusions of the State Improvement Plan for Special Education. The Department of Education is also requested to collect, analyze, and respond to certain requests for information by the joint subcommittee, regularly apprise it concerning the plan, and provide a comprehensive briefing regarding the plan to the joint subcommittee by June 1, 2000.
This resolution is a recommendation of the Joint Subcommittee Studying the Overrepresentation of African-American Students in Special Education Programs.
