SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Health; Virginia Long-Term Care Foundation created. Creates the Virginia Long-Term Care Foundation, similar to the Virginia Health Care Foundation, to provide financial and technical support, in the form of grants, donations, or other assistance, to promote the development of innovative regional and local long-term care strategies and best practices. Membership of the foundation board consists of 14 persons representing the legislature and appointees of the Governor. The leadership of the various affected state agencies shall serve as nonvoting, ex officio members. A separate budget amendment has been prepared. This is a recommendation of the Joint Commission on Health Care.
