SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Study; Information and Referral Centers. Requests the Secretary of Health and Human Resources to follow-up on a Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee study of the current information and referral centers for human services across the Commonwealth. The study found, among other things, that, although this system has been in place since 1983 and has been the focus of numerous directives for improvement, it is still not a well-developed system. The Secretary is to report to the Chairmen of the Senate Finance and House Appropriations Committees by October 1, 2000, and also report to the Governor and the 2001 Session of the General Assembly.
