SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Juvenile Community Crime Control Act. Requires the community-based services developed pursuant to the Act to be based on an annual review and objective assessment of court-related data. The biennial plan required to be submitted to the State Board of Juvenile Justice must provide the projected number of juveniles that will not require secure detention or state commitment because of the community-based services. The bill adds a requirement that each locality submit a quarterly progress report to the Department of Juvenile Justice. The bill also allows the Tidewater Regional Group Home Commission to continue to receive predispositional and postdispositional court services.
