SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Possession of the date rape drug GHB; penalty. Provides that the manufacture, sale, distribution or possession of GHB (the substances gamma-butyrolactone and 1, 4, -butanediol) intended for human consumption is a Class 3 felony. The bill also adds these substances to the Drug Control Act .
SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Possession of the date rape drug GHB; penalty. Provides that GHB (the substances gamma-butyrolactone and the substances gamma-hydroxybutyric acid and 1, 4, butanediol) shall be deemed to be listed on Schedule I for purposes of penalties for violations of the Drug Control Act (§ 54.1-3400 et. seq.) and §§ 18.2-248 and 18.2-250.
