SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Alcoholic beverage control; suspension of licenses; imposition of penalties. Increases the civil penalty for a second violation of the ABC laws by a licensee from $2,500 to $5,000. Under this bill, the $5,000 penalty could be assessed by the ABC Board for a second or subsequent violation, in lieu of or in addition to suspension of the license. Currently, the penalties for a second or subsequent violation are $2,500 and $5,000, respectively. The bill also contains a technical amendment.
