SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
HOV lanes. Provides a mechanism by which certain vehicles with volunteer rescue squad member or firefighter special licenses can be exempted from vehicle occupancy requirements on HOV lanes in the 7th, 8th, 9th, and 16th planning districts, pending completion of the I-66 upgrade and Springfield “Mixing Bowl” Interchange reconstruction.
