WHEREAS, Clarence McCoy, Jr., of Richmond, the patriarch of a large and devoted family, died on December 18, 1999; and
WHEREAS, Clarence McCoy, Jr., is survived by his wife, Elder Shirley McCoy, pastor of the Jerusalem Holy Church in Richmond, three children, a grandchild, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and
WHEREAS, Clarence McCoy, Jr., was a devout Christian who touched and improved many lives during his productive life; and
WHEREAS, a well-respected citizen and a leader in his community, Clarence McCoy, Jr., will be sorely missed by his large and loving family, by the parishioners of the Jerusalem Holy Church, and by his many friends in the Richmond community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly mourn the passing of a fine Virginian, Clarence McCoy, Jr.; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Clarence McCoy, Jr., as an expression of the General Assembly’s respect for his memory.
