Celebrating the life of Wilbert Mills, Jr.

WHEREAS, Wilbert Mills, Jr., of Virginia Beach, an active member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, died on September 23, 1999; and

WHEREAS, a native of Norfolk, Wilbert Mills was educated in the Virginia Beach public schools and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Norfolk State University; and

WHEREAS, Wilbert Mills was a contract administrator employed by Analysis and Technology in Chesapeake; and

WHEREAS, a former member of the Second Calvary Baptist Church in Norfolk, Wilbert Mills was an active and highly respected member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Virginia Beach at the time of his death; and

WHEREAS, a successful and popular citizen, Wilbert Mills will be sorely missed by his loving family, his colleagues, and his many friends in the Hampton Roads community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby mourn the untimely passing of Wilbert Mills, Jr.; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Wilbert Mills, Jr., as an expression of the esteem in which his memory is held by the members of the General Assembly.
