Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 30-19.15:1 as follows:

§ 30-19.15:1. Session per diem and mileage for secretaries or administrative assistants.

The General Assembly shall annually appropriate such sums of money as shall be sufficient to pay per diem and mileage for two persons to serve each member of the General Assembly as a secretary or administrative assistant during a legislative session or extension thereof. The rate for the per diem and mileage shall be set forth in the general appropriation act.
