008973912Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 8.01-271.2 as follows:
§ 8.01-271.2. Pleadings deemed filed upon delivery to mailing service.
Any pleadings, motion documents, petitions, or other documents may be delivered by any commercial express mailing service, including Federal Express, Express Mail, and others. Any such documents delivered to a commercial express mailing service for further delivery to a court for filing shall be considered filed when delivered to the mailing service.
