Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 22.1-277.02:1 as follows:
§ 22.1-277.02:1. [ Suspension and expulsion for profane or obscene language
Profane or obscene language or conduct ] .
A. Consistent with the procedures set forth in § 22.1-277, school boards shall provide for the suspension and expulsion from school attendance of students for use of profane or obscene language [ or conduct ] .
B. Each school board shall [ revise include in ] its standards of student
conduct [ to incorporate the requirements of this section no later than three
months after the date on which this act becomes effective. Prohibitions
