VIRGINIA ACTS OF ASSEMBLY -- CHAPTER An Act to amend and reenact § 20-124.6 of the Code of Virginia, relating to access to child's records. [H 1498] Approved

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 20-124.6 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 20-124.6. Access to child's records.

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, neither parent, regardless of whether such parent has custody, shall be denied access to the academic, medical, hospital or other health records of that parent's minor child unless otherwise ordered by the court for good cause shown.
