Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 20-124.6 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 20-124.6. Access to child's records.

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, neither parent shall be denied access to the academic, medical, hospital or other health records of that parent's minor child unless otherwise ordered by the court for good cause shown. This section applies to any parent, regardless of whether such parent has custody or not.
