CHAPTER 161 An Act to amend and reenact § 64.1-47 of the Code of Virginia, relating to who may make a will. [H 394] Approved March 24, 2000

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 64.1-47 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 64.1-47. Who may not make a will.

No person (i) of unsound mind or (ii) under the age of eighteen years, unless emancipated pursuant to Article 15 (§ 16.1-331 et seq.) of Chapter 11 of Title 16.1, shall be capable of making a will.
