(HB1036)GOVERNOR'S VETO
Pursuant to Article V, Section 6 of the Constitution of Virginia, I veto House Bill 1036.
This legislation grants workers' compensation benefits to unlawfully employed illegal aliens, even though they may have obtained their positions through fraud or material misrepresentation.
Because House Bill 1036 violates settled law, I cannot sign the bill. Accordingly, I am returning House Bill 1036 without my signature.
