HJ 94 Industrial Hemp.
Introduced by: Mitchell Van Yahres | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Industrial hemp. Memorializes the Secretary of Agriculture, the Director of the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy to permit the controlled, experimental cultivation of industrial hemp in Virginia. Industrial hemp is seen increasingly as a potentially valuable alternative crop for farmers in Virginia, but current federal regulations make even the experimental cultivation of industrial hemp effectively impossible.
