First responders; Secretaries of Public Safety and Health and Human Resources shall encourage dissemination of information about specialized training in evidence-based strategies to prevent and minimize mental health crises in all jurisdictions. (Patron-Watts, HB 1222 (Chapter 601))

911 emergency service calls; recordings and records shall be deemed authentic transcriptions or recordings of original statements, if they are accompanied by a certificate containing certain information. Amending § 8.01-390. (Patron-Surovell, HB 1248 (Chapter 353))

Overdoses; no individual who sought or obtained emergency medical attention for himself or for another individual because of a drug or alcohol-related overdose may be arrested, etc. Adding § 18.2-251.03. (Patron-Carr, HB 557 (F))

Warning lights on certain vehicles; members of fire departments, volunteer fire companies, etc., may use no more than two light systems. Amending § 46.2-1024. (Patron-Edmunds, HB 23 (F))

Warning lights on privately owned vehicles; detailed requirements relating to vehicles used by firefighters, volunteer rescue squad members, certain ambulance drivers, and police chaplains to respond to emergencies. Amending § 46.2-1024. (Patron-Edmunds, HB 1120 (C))
